Wastewater Treatment in the Textile Industry

A textile manufacturing facility implemented a wastewater treatment process using 350 ppm of Tanfloc combined with 1 ppm of an anionic polymer to address high levels of organic load and colour in its effluent.

The treatment achieved a 79% reduction in chemical oxygen demand (COD) and 95% colour removal. Tanfloc proved suitable for secondary treatment processes involving activated sludge. The solution eliminated the need for separate decolouring agents, simplified treatment operations, and enabled the reuse of treated water for non-potable applications such as equipment and floor washing.

Compared to aluminium-based coagulants, Tanfloc demonstrated superior performance in treatment effectiveness and sustainability.
