A wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) processing effluent from dairy and juice production facilities faced challenges in managing salinity and metal content prior to reuse in irrigation systems. The use of a dam as a holding lagoon necessitated further treatment to ensure sustainable water quality. To address this, an enhanced coagulation-flocculation process was implemented using Tanfloc in combination with an auxiliary polymer.
The treatment achieved a 40% reduction in total dissolved solids (TDS), turbidity removal of up to 97%, and maintained stable salinity levels. These results demonstrated the suitability of Tanfloc for improving wastewater quality while supporting environmentally responsible reuse practices.
